just checked out your piece on this!! love that you point out that this isn’t a new phenomenon, either - just perhaps one being hyper accelerated and incredibly visible because of how digital our experiences are.

Excellent analysis. We consume, consume, and over consume. Rushing to move on to the next thing to consume allows us to NOT take a minute or two to THINK. Maybe consuming less and giving one's brain a breather could promote more critical consumption.

I love your thoughts on this and think you’ve hit on something very true, with The Hunger Games being a great lens to look at media consumption/reaction through. I always enjoy reading your thoughts! One of my favorite projects to follow on here.

I love this (especially as a former perpetual side-braid-wearer in high school)!!! I always love finding meaning in “silly things” and I think young adult fiction is one of those places for sure. Here’s to not counting consumption calories :)
